Proverbs 15:32,33 NIV Discipline leads to a lot of good if taken, received and applied. With it, you gain understanding, the fear of the Lord and ultimately wisdom! To accept discipline takes humility; and ideally, before honour comes humility! But today, human ideals tend to favour and celebrate the arrogant! May God Touch our hearts and lead us aright in Jesus Name!!! Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling. It is better to be humble in spirit with the lowly Than to divide the spoil with the proud. Proverbs 16:18,19 NASB Pride comes before a fall; and haughtiness before stumbling! Ultimately, arrogance and pride will bring you embarrassment and lead to your downfall! It is better to humble yourself and stand with the lowly than to be successful whilst dividing the largesse with the proud and arrogance! Pride does not pay!!! A mans pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. Proverbs 29:23 KJV Weve learnt that pride takes a man down; honour on the other hand is a blessing that accrues to the humble! Lord, Teach us humility especially in Your Presence, so that ultimately we shall be exalted in due season and be lifted up in Jesus Name. Amen!!! You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 (NIVUK) Theres a light in you put there by God who is Light! Just as you are salt of the earth; you are light of the world! Jesus Christ is the Light of the world; when you believe in Him, you become as light to the world in the same wise! A city on a hill cannot be hidden; you have light and are light and you ought to take a stand and a place where your light will illuminate your environment and be a blessing to those around you! Allow your light to shine such that your goodness shall be seen and those who see will ultimately glorify your Father in Heaven, whom you so reflect in Jesus Name. Amen!!! (9) But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak. (10) For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idols temple, will not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat those things offered to idols? (11) And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? (12) But when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. (13) Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never again eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble. 1 Corinthians 8:9-13 When you have gained the knowledge of God, you have access and privileges that those who dont have knowledge do not have! However, you must apply your liberty wisely; and not in a way that would cause others to fall! If what you do would cause other brethren to perish, why not rather not do such in order to preserve your brethren? When you act in a way that protects your brethrens well being, youre acting in love and will be rewarded by God Almighty in Jesus Name. Amen!!!
