WE ARE BACK THERE AGAIN NIGERIANS! It has been said that if an old woman falls down twice on the same spot, the spot will either be thoroughly examined or the old womans head. Political intolerance is not new in this clime. It dots our politicosphere. Most recently Im 2011 when over 4000 people including youth corpers died in an avoidable post election violence. It is on record that GMB whose party faithfuls and supporters were culprits, as they were screaming Sai Buhari while lynching their fellow Nigerians (mostly of other ethnic origins), never made a cautionary or soothing remark while the orgy of violence lasted (check YouTube for his response to pointed questions). We are now faced with pre election violence in what most will construe to be yet a perpetuation of a cloned intimidation. The blame for this incidence goes squarely to the door steps of the opposition party, if what I hear is anything to go by. This calls for a rise out of primordial sentiments for the party leaders, who I am made to believe are also patriots. This should not be a pointer to what is expected after election. The irate youths who gets down to burning opponents party vehicles cannot say they were sent by their party leaders. But that would be what it would be termed unless the said leaders rise to the occasion. The previous rumors of people being intimidated into not driving party vehicles has come to be true in this events that went down today. It leaves the polity too charged for the same free and fair election we all clamor for. It leaves no one in doubt as to the current thinking of those who dont mean well for this country. For me, it calls for sober reflection. I want to try to wiggle into the minds of those youths. Alas! What an orientation! What a result of brain washing! What a waste of human capital this has become. Elders they say do not watch a goat give birth while in tethers. #EgberiFa #IWatchTheNation
