WE ARE HOME! Carla is getting the best medicine she could have right now--Granddaughter, Ruby Jo, is sitting in her lap, laughing at her. They sent us home with Carlas bone marrow shots in a cool pack and Ill give her one per day for the next 4 days. Her white counts are high enough, so that restrictions have been lifted. We also got great news yesterday afternoon regarding the results of this latest round of chemo. When Carla started her treatment with Etoposide, her CA 125 counts were about 460. Now, after three cycles of chemo, her counts are down to 56!!!!! Thats another 40 point drop after this latest cycle. A CA 125 count of 35 and below is considered normal. The doctor did say he had a consult with some of his colleagues and he has decided to dose reduce on her next cycle so as to avoid another trip to the ER or hospital. Not sure what the dosage will be yet. Well find out in a couple of weeks. We appreciate the prayers and positive thoughts more than you will EVER know. Please keep praying and thinking positively!
