WE DID IT!! I am pleased to say that @DYPBTO 14 - Discover Your Personal Brand was a HUGE SUCCESS!! #DYPB14. Last year we had 120 people and this year we boldly targeted 250 people. Our final tally -- We had 251 registered and another 30-50 show-up, so basically 300 Lost Leaders. We also trended #DYPB14 on Twitter, reaching over 40 million impressions and reaching over 1 million followers. It was an incredible day, some hiccups as expected, but there were 3 things I had always been targeting to make it a success in my mind. I think we hit all 3! 1) A large number of people 2) High quality content and speakers 3) Creating an energy and passion that would elevate the day. There was a point in my final close, where I got a bit emotional. I cannot explain in words what it was....but essentially I had overwhelming feeling of the vision I had set out and that I was seeing it manifest itself in every lost leader in the audience. I was moved by the realization and your support in that moment. It was powerful There are so many people to thank, but let me start with - OUR TEAM: Thank you Chen Ling Xiao & Mariam Olagunju our co-chairs, Robin Wilson, Moballer Banks, Jasper Wong, Yana Kharitonova, Bana Bishtawi, Bruce Harpham, Nadia Antropova, Natalia Juárez Montoya, Parbon Hasan Khan, Richard Cerezo our team leads, and our other team members like Michelle Young, Naveen Khan, Annas King Khan, Ayu Dewi Puspita, Katrina Van and everyone else who helped out, including the volunteers. I want to especially call out Robin and Jasper for being standout team members who did so much so fast and so responsively, you were my go to people in crunch time and we all appreciated that. So proud of you all - OUR PARTNERS: Thank Mira Cma for setting up the CPA Ontario sponsorship, AIESEC Toronto, especially Hutou Liu & Leila Pillard, Annie Zhang w/ BrainStation, Nspire and all the other organizations and individuals who collaborated with us to promote and support the event. - THE SPEAKERS: So many amazing talks, insights, ideas. I cant tag you all (although Ive done it lots already, but would like to mention Alfredo C. Tan, Paul Copcutt, Jim Ribau & Nathan Downer for the large keynotes. I also want to mention our Mentors Hamza Khan, Bass Rj, Laura Furtado who joined us on such short notice. - THE DELEGATES: You are our Why, our Vision, our Mission and the heart of the day. Thank you for your patience, for squishing in some of the rooms when only standing room was left, for sharing your thoughts, for tweeting and everything.
