WE LIVE IN A REPUBLIC We dont live in a democratic society, we just hire the staff that way. We all enjoy independence. Your people died in order to get it. We use a collection of votes to hire people to supply services we need. We need to hire different people to get different things. We enjoy the fact no one can make us do anything against our will. Is in fact freedom. but collective decisions can be difficult without choice. Direct Democracy means 53% Rule. 53% can make you do what they want and you must comply. 53% says is the Law and you are the Slave to it. Is the loss of independence and 47% is a slave. There is no need to challenge anything. It may or may not have prevented a bailout but my bet is it wouldnt. The power of the media and a bunch of cunts with only their own vision of a quarter of a million wage packet with pension, the 53% would be sought by promises of pay increases or the treat of job losses to union bosses as they keeps the flock at the trough, not to mention the fear of loosing 600,000 per year to experts on the state payroll. so my guess as is. So I invite all those intending to run in the next election, If you really want to make a difference to other people. If you will put your peoples interests above your own agenda. If you wish to honestly listen to peoples views. If you honestly explain situations to people so the people can make the right decisions. Then you will be elected by the people.
