Instead of complying with Japans Wildlife Protection and Hunting Law env.go.jp/en/nature/biodiv/law.html and release the bear immediately, they have kept the poor bear to date in a small transport cage without water and toilet. Initially, they put the poor bear in a sealed oil drum and kept him for 2 weeks until a charity group, THE JAPAN BEAR & FOREST SOCIETY (KUMAMORI), intervened and asked to move the bear to a cage instead. On 20 Aug 2014, Osaka prefecture decided to kill the bear. The decision is even more inexplicable as the KUMAMORI has offered to take care of the bear. There is absolutely no need to put it down. Osaka prefecture is violating the national law. Also, Moon bears are endangered specie in Japan. All the other prefectures handle these situations by the book. Moreover, Osaka has just introduced a new manual after this incident that any mistakenly trapped wild animals have to be killed! What a violent measures! Osaka is also known as the worst prefecture in Japan for killing all pet animals at their pounds. Please help to stop Osaka murdering this innocent life in secret which has gone through enough tortures! The bear is getting weaker and weaker every day without seeing the sun for months!
