**WEATHER FOR TODAY** ~Trish~ Weather Situation A low pressure system near Adelaide is weakening as a strong high near Tasmania extends a broad ridge over western NSW. A low pressure trough near the NSW coast is expected to deepen further with rain increasing for central and southern coastal districts. A low pressure system off the north coast is expected to deepen and move to the southwest today to cross the coastline near the Central Coast or Sydney. Gale force winds and heavy swell will develop to the south of the low and heavy rain is expected to extend to the southern and central ranges. The low pressure system, likely made up of several transient small scale centres is expected to be slow moving off the central part of the coast during Tuesday with strong to gale force winds and further local heavy rain. The should slowly move to the east during Wednesday and Thursday. Forecast for the rest of Monday The chance of showers this morning. Sunny afternoon. Winds westerly 15 to 20 km/h.
