===================== WEDDING CAKE MISCHIEF ===================== Everyone loves cake I do Its my Achilles heel (Sorry just thought about Brad Pitt in Troy there for a second ** Man Crush **) Anyway, everyone loves cake your guests will and if youre having to sort your wedding cake out youll know or youll soon find out that trying to sort your wedding cake is like playing with fire.. when it comes to price I mean Early last year one of my clients was telling me that when she was choosing her wedding cake she didnt want a traditional white cake She wanted a chocolate cake Three tiers So she went to a cake shop and they quoted her £800 for the cake Shed told them it was for a wedding and she thought Jeez...thats a lot So a week later she went back in a different outfit with her mother this time and asked for exactly the same thing but said it was for a Birthday Funnily enough the SAME cake was now £250 What a difference, eh? When she was asked if shed like to go ahead she revealed herself and said theres no way shed buy it from there and was going somewhere else This is often the case with suppliers and I heard a similar story recently about a DJ whod turned up at what he thought was a birthday party but turned out to be a wedding and when he realised he said to the groom I would have charged you more had I known it was a wedding So play the game my friends and make it work for you, not against you These little tricks will hopefully help save you some pennies along the way All this talk of cake has given me a craving, so Im off to find some cake now Chris Soon to be half a stone heavier Greenwood chocolatechipphotography.co.uk PS I know a lovely cake maker if anyone is still looking.
