She is known as colorist. Color is the main concern in her painting, exploring its emotional and expressive qualities. Her paintings vibrate with the contrasts of hot and cool, light and dark and bright and dull. Her roots are in the Expressionism (color was used as an emotion – evoking an emotion) and Pop Art (she loves to repeat the same motive in endless colors). She works and lives between Europe and Southeast Asia. Her latest solo exhibitions were at Jamuree Art Gallery in Bangkok 2013-2014, Chiang Mai CMU Art Museum 2013, The Substation Arts Center in Singapore 2012, Rotunda Art Gallery Bangkok 2012, UCSI University Kuala Lumpur 2011, Instinc Gallery Singapore 2010, Wina Gallery Ubud Bali 2010, she was “New Find” of Art Singapore 2010, Meduza Gallery, Koper, Slovenia 2009…. At the 137 Pillar House she is presenting paintings and multimedia works of gardens from Chiang Mai as those at Puping Palace of Thai King as well as other gardens from her numerous stays in other parts of Southeast Asia as Singapore, Bali and Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition will be on for 3 months until 15 March, but it will change more times during this time as Tjasa Iris will be replacing the paintings with new and old ones over and over again.
