WELCOME TO OUR NEW SEMINARIAN On August 15, we will welcome our new seminarian intern from the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia, Tommy Richter. Tommy has just graduated with his MDiv degree from the seminary and will be spending an intern year with us to fulfill the requirements of his Lutheran Synod and bishop. Tommy will follow in the footsteps of previous interns such as Dave Dalzell, James Thibodeau, and Stacy-Kyle Rea. He will be with us for forty hours a week and will be responsible for all youth group activities, as well as the normal round of parish ministry activities. Tommy graduated from Ursinus College with a BA in Philosophy and Religion, and will be living in Philadelphia. His fiancé is currently a Fulbright Scholar in Germany, and they plan to be married in the next year or so. Tommy has been a camp counselor for five summers, and has, as he puts it, "a passion for outdoor ministry." He is also a published poet, a philosopher, and a drummer.
