WELP! Unless we learn in the next season that what Korra decides - TopicsExpress

WELP! Unless we learn in the next season that what Korra decides at the end of this one was actually an earth-shattering mistake, I might be done with Legend of Korra. That ending (and most of the season attached to it) was... not good. Oh, it looked really good. Its always pretty exciting to see the fight scenes in Avatar, even when they change the rules because WE ARE THE WRITERS AND WE MAKE DA RULES, DAMMIT! But the writing just keeps getting more painful bit by bit, with many of the seasons subplots ending with whimpers rather than bangs (Tenzins plot, Varricks conspiracy, sibling rivalries). That little girl had it right calling Korra the worst Avatar ever, by the way. If shes not being showered with praise and adoration, shes either mopey or surprisingly violent for a person whos supposed to be the embodiment of balance in the world. Remember, she nearly fed a judges head to her polar beardog. She hardly ever learns anything or seems forced to learn much because shes already perfect, it seems. And she defeats the villain without her Avatar powers because APPARENTLY YOU CAN DO THAT! ...I miss the days when Lin threatened to arrest Korra for wrecking a street to do whats right. (breathes) Lets see, good things I can say? The way the Korra - Mako relationship resolved is a HUGE relief. Now for the love of Rava keep it that way. And while Varricks whole thing kind of ended weak, Varrick is still by the width of the Grand Canyon the best thing to happen to Legend of Korra ever. It also seems that Tenzin may have gained some humility, something I really really wish he could teach to Korra. So yeah, Legend of Korra, Season 2. What the hell just happened? All I can say is not much that was good.
