WEVE COME TO PLAY JAHS MUSIC (A Message to My People) imagination...will free your mind from stagnation... Somewhere beyond our solar system, in the galaxy of Peace-n-Love, lies the ancient planet if I-THIOPIA. It is said by the ancient sages, that I-THIOPIA is a mirror image of the AFRIKAN continent and that during the earths beginnings, the BLACK GODS OF I-THIOPIA (as they were called) beamed themselves to earth and established civilizations and high cultures along the NILE river that flows through the valleys of Egypt and Cush(Ethiopia). On I-THIOPIA there is a sincere and pure love among the inabitants of the planet and, combined with a sense of collective responsibility, even the most impossible of tasks are accomplished with little fanfare. Science was in its Golden Age, transcendental flight was childs play, the art was illuminous and the music was REGGAE. As our story begins, our musical heroes (who had just completed a successful Intergalastic Concert Tour of five local planets) are resting and recharging their energies in one of the many beautiful tropical gardens of I-THIOPIA, when their HIGH TENSION dreadlocks pick up a sorrowful lament which seemed to be coming from a great distance. What a disheartening cry! It sounds as though the entire earth is subjected to some evil force. Let us take this matter to HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY at once for he will know what to do...said Rasola. Teleporting themselves (only to be done in extreme emergencies) to Mt. ZION (the highest region of I-THIOPIA) where the SUPREME RASTA HIGH COUNCIL resides. the DREADS are amazed at the granduer and the beauty of this most holiest of places. Upon entering a magnificent pyramid structure they are escorted to the chambers of the MOST HIGH GOD OF THE UNIVERSE, JAH RASTAFARI. Also present were, St. Marcusmosiahgarvey, St. Malcomxshabazz and St. Martinlutherking. My LORD, while resting in the gardens, we were tuned into a most sorrowful vibration. We heard cries of anguish, fear and hatred...they all seemed to be coming from earth...said Rasojuleba. So JAH seh, It is the prayers of the oppresed peoples of the earth. Their world is one of sadness and sorrow, grief and pain. For over four hundred earth years I and I have heard their prayers and laments, and have answered them time and time again...I and I have sent them prophets in their own image and they have received naught from the benefits of their teachings. Until they first begin to HELP THEMSELVES and show LOVE and COMPASSION for one another, they will continue to be subjected to the FORCES OF EVIL. When I and I children have awaken themselves from their sleepless slumber, only then will I and I come and smite down the workers of inequities. Said Rasola, Let I and I go down and play I and I music for the people. Theres a message in this music and I know they cant refuse it...cause this REGGAE aint nothing but the truth....maybe we can help...yeah, maybe we can help! So off they went, riding the RHYTHMS OF LIFE to a world that is in desperate need of LOVE.....
