WFLX FOX 29 Dear WFLX Viewer: As you may know by now, WFLX may not be available on DISH after August 1. We know this is frustrating. We share your frustration. Let us briefly explain what happened, what is likely to happen next and what you can do to make sure you don’t miss a minute of your favorite local news and weather and great FOX programs. In order for stations like WFLX to serve you, we need agreements with the cable and satellite companies that bring our signal into your home. We have such agreements in place with all the TV providers serving West Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast. Raycom Media the parent company of WFLX has been working since July 1 to resolve this matter, but DISH has refused to come to terms. It’s frustrating because all the other TV providers in our area honor their deals with us and those deals are fundamentally similar to the one we are requesting with DISH. WFLX values your viewership and the long relationship we have enjoyed here in South Florida. We are the area’s ONLY source for Local News and Weather at 7AM, 8AM, 4PM, and 10PM -- a responsibility and trust we don’t take lightly. We are going to keep working to resolve this matter with DISH. But you don’t have to wait. The good news is you can take action. You can call DISH at (800) 823-4929 and tell them you want WFLX to remain on the system. Thank you for your viewership and support.
