WGW owe Catherinea McSweeney and Betfair a very big thank you. They have just given us a donation of £2000 for a project. They have been very good supporters of us in the past and this year have decided that all our hard work for the greyhounds should be recognised. They know we won’t spend the money on anything ‘frivolous’ and that we will use it to give the greyhounds in our kennels a better standard of care. So thanks to Betfair we can now plan for work to be carried out on our bottom paddocks, which turn into a sea of mud as soon as it rains. With their help we can create 2 hard standing areas which can be fenced off and used during the winter months and I cannot tell you just what a difference this will make to us and our greyhounds. Should there be anything left over after this particular project we have plans to put that towards the cost of building new bridges to cross the ditches in our walkers’ field and this will enable our greyhounds and walkers to do a complete circuit of the field safely.
