WHAT ARE THE ALL THINGS WE CAN DO IN CHRIST? I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me., Phil 4:13. This is one of the most misconstrued and abused passages in the Bible. For the most part, False Teachers and Preachers use it as a means to attain great wealth. They purpose this verse as a means of materialistic acquisition. The truth of the matter? IF WE COULD DO ALL THINGS WE WOULD BE GOD! Doing all things to these Now Faith, Prosperity Doctrine, and Name it and Claim it Religions MEANS to Accomplish All Things, Acquire All Things, and Achieve All Things. THEY SAY IF YOU CANT DO IT THEN YOURE NOT IN CHRIST! THIS IS NOT TRUE! The reason folks EMBRACE this type of teaching is they dont apply COMMON SENSE. My friends, There are SOME THINGS that you will attempt to DO in Life and you will FAIL! There are SOME THINGS in Life you will want to ACHIEVE and you WILL NOT! Phil 4:13, Obviously doesnt mean what many folks think. My friends when the Bible says ALL IT MEANS ALL, but we must use GODLY WISDOM! JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO EVER LIVED, WHOM ACCOMPLISHED EVERYTHING HE SET OUT TO DO, After this, Jesus knowing that ALL THINGS were now ACCOMPLISHED, ....... he said, IT IS FINISHED: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. John 19:28-30. We often need the Greek or Hebrew interpretation of a Word in order to get the True meaning. The Greek word for DO in Phil 4:13 is ISCHYO pronounced E-SKU-O. This word means TO PREVAIL! Paul is saying I CAN PREVAIL ALL THINGS IN CHRIST! WHY? BECAUSE ITS JESUS WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH TO GET THROUGH IT! This passage is NOT about GOD GETTING SOMETHING THROUGH TO YOU! This passage is about GOD GETTING YOU THROUGH SOMETHING! Its the UPS and DOWNS of LIFE; the HIGHS and the LOWS of LIFE! This is NOT a stand alone verse! Many Interpretations REQUIRE the surrounding passages. Paul has ALREADY explained Phil 4:13 in the previous TWO verses, ...for I HAVE LEARNED, in WHATSOEVER STATE IM IN, therewith to be CONTENT. I know BOTH how to be ABASED, and I know how to ABOUND: EVERY WHERE and in ALL THINGS I am instructed BOTH to be FULL and to be HUNGRY, BOTH to ABOUND and to SUFFER NEED. Phil 4:11-12. My friends I CAN DO ALL THINGS means I CAN PREVAIL ALL THINGS. In other words, I can do GOOD DAYS, and I can do BAD DAYS, I can do LIFE when Im UP, and I can do LIFE when Im DOWN. I can DO EMPLOYED and I can also DO JOBLESS. I know how to GAIN, and I also know how to SUFFER LOSS. I CAN DO GOOD HEALTH, and I CAN also DO A HOSPITAL BED. How can I DO all these things? ITS JESUS WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH! Be Blessed!
