WHAT GROCERY SHOPPING CAN BE ... I happen to live about five minutes from an incredible little market called Wongs. Wongs is stock full of local fruits, veggies, homemade breads, hummus, vegetable dips, hand-made pastas and even hand-made soaps! Better still, Wongs sells NO MEAT!! It is so nice to shop for food without walking past dead, chopped up animals. The more I have come to regard animals as full sentient beings, with the right to life as equal as my own, the more I am horrified by the murdered body parts common place in most grocery stores. Grocery shopping in regular stores is becoming almost like a horror film for me ... I walk passed murdered, dead, chopped up beings ... AND no one seems to care or feel that anything is wrong! On some days, it is like an out of body experience, like I am alone on some demented planet. I do believe I am becoming estranged from the world I used to know, as so much of it - and the people in it - just no longer makes sense to me.
