WHAT IF THERE’S NO WEATHER FORECAST? The purpose of forecast is to save lives. Our technology of forecasting or predicting typhoons and hurricanes has so improved that we can know with 90 to 100% certainty the path, strength and the extent of possible damage a typhoon or hurricane can produce. But no matter how accurate we can predict typhoons if people won’t act it doesn’t do any good to them. This is why FAITH or BELIEVING and acting is so important in our salvation. If people believe and won’t act to obey orders they are doomed! Prophecy is the spiritual term for forecast or prediction. The Bible is filled with “forecasts”. There are several examples of forecasts in the Bible. Noah forecasted the flood will swallow the earth. Jesus forecasted the destruction of Jerusalem. Elijah forecasted a famine of 3 ½ years would happen in Israel. Abraham believed the angel before fire and brimstone rained over Sodom and Gomorrah. Those who acted were saved, and those didn’t perished. Thanks God He tells us the future before it happens because He wants to save all people. But majority will not believe Him. Amos 3:7 (AMP) “Surely the Lord God will do nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.” In 2 Chronicles 20:20 it says “Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God; so shall ye be established. Believe His prophets; so shall ye prosper.” Paul says in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 that shortly before Jesus come the man of sin who is the agent of Satan will be revealed. The majority of world will believe him because he will pretend to be the God on earth when he is not because many of his teachings are not in the Bible.
