WHAT IS ABA? ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) is the science of behaviour. Like any science there is laws of behaviour, we use this knowledge to put together the best intervention for you and your child. Its evidence-based practice for children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. ABA is also widely used in other areas such as education, parenting, behaviour management, industry, drug abuse and gambling with a variety of different people at any age. HOW CAN ABA HELP MY CHILD? The simple answer is changing behaviour! We can help you with teaching language, self-help skills including toileting, social skills, academic learning. We focus on reward based learning, it should be fun and motivating for your child. Since the early 1960s there have been hundreds of published studies that show the effectiveness of an ABA based intervention teaching a wide range of important skills and reducing problem behaviours.
