WHAT IS JAUNDICE AND WHY AT TIMES IT NEEDS TO BE TREATED. Jaundice is most of the time a normal physiological and transient problems in newborns and requires no treatment. At times jaundice is instead pathological and needs to be treated in order to prevent severe neurological damage. One of the most serious form of pathological jaundice is the so called Rh incompatibility between moms blood and the babys blood.
