WHAT IS YORP? The Youth Organization Registration Program - TopicsExpress

WHAT IS YORP? The Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) is a nationwide campaign of the National Youth Commission that aims to create the widest and most trusted network of youth and youth serving organizations in the Philippines. Pursuant to Republic Act 8044 or the Youth in Nation-Building Act, the YORP extends the national governments efforts in reaching its youth programs to all beneficiaries-in-need by encouraging entities to actively participate and spread the advocacy of NYCs events and activities. Furthermore, YORP helps these accredited organizations by providing technical assistance and partnerships in conducting their youth-oriented programs. With this linkage, the NYC can also offer trainings, workshops and even intenational exchanges to most active and deserving youth or youth serving organizations. Most importantly, YORP is not just promoting active youth involvement in nation building but also the impact of youth volunteerism in our society that is currently experiencing different hardship and challenges due to political and natural calamities. The Manila Youth Interactive encourages all youth and youth serving organizations within the capital city to be part of YORP and be part of making Manila a productive city for the youth. Be counted!
