WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE? “After I have been there, I must also” - TopicsExpress

WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE? “After I have been there, I must also” (Acts 19:21). The most miserable of all people are those who have no definite aims and objectives in life. Their days run in circles and rings without any purpose. At the end of the day, they have nothing to show for the minutes and hours they have spent! However, a life of purpose moves with definiteness and measurable goals. Such a life is not tossed here and there by every wind of suggestions. Such a life is organized, and there is a time frame for every work and every activity. Nothing comes in between without proper consideration. Take a pause this morning and answer these questions: how did you spend yesterday and the past few days? Did you spend them as you planned to do? Or were they just spent as events took place? Today must not be spent like that. Be like Paul the apostle who said “.. after I have been there, I must also see Rome” (Acts 19:21). Have a time table and fill it with profitable activities which are “musts”. The “musts” would of course include quiet time, cleaning, reading, sleeping (resting) etc. Do not allow chance events or friends to usurp or dictate the use of your time. Be in charge, take control. Challenge: No purpose, no progress Prayer: Lord, help me to be a person of purpose.
