WHAT MATERIALS ARE YOU USING TO BUILD GODS TEMPLE? For no one - TopicsExpress

WHAT MATERIALS ARE YOU USING TO BUILD GODS TEMPLE? For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames. Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. - 1 Corinthians 3:11-18 My mind, body, soul and everything about me are the materials used to build Gods temple. I always ask myself these questions regarding Gods temple: What am I filling my mind with to strengthen it? What am I doing with my body to honour God because my physical being is what carries my spiritual being? Because that is the greatest priviledge we have as children of God. How am I taking care of my physical to ensure that my spirit is at peace in it dwelling place? What does my spirit focus on to strength it? Am I focused on worldly things or godly things? Am I enhancing my soul with negativity or positivity? So will your temple be strong enough to fully and not barely survive the fire? Fill me with Your wisdom Father to focus only on building material that is of You, strong, positive and that only reflect Your glory. Help me to respect my temple because I only get one chance to build the greatest temple ever to bring You honour and praise. Strengthen my thoughts, my body and my mind against all that is worldly, bad, evil, negative and help me to focus on all that is godly, pure, holy and positive. In Jesus Name. Amen.
