WHAT WOULD YOU DO??? So I have to tell this story because I wonder who would do the same or who would judge and ignore!! Last week we get to the RV park and there in an RV spot right by the office is a tent. Come to realize there are 3 people and a large dog in this tiny tent. They com into the office and proceed to tell us the story about traveling from Spokane to Yakima and trying to get to Coos Bay Oregon. In the process someone broke into their car, stole everything, broke windows and cut their strong box from the top of the car and took the whole thing. They ended up having to hitchhike until they got to Prosser leaving the car and only having a backpack with a tent and the clothes on their backs. They paid for the site but we had them move to a tent site. They would be stuck at the RV park until August 1st. I got home and could not stop thinking about them and what if it was me in that situation. They had a 25 year old son who had a stroke last year so most of the time he was like a child due to Brain Damage from the stroke. Anyway I decided to go back to work to take them some clothe and laundry soap so they could at least wash the clothes they were wearing. They were so gracious and I asked if they ate. Looked like stale bagels that they had. I gave them $20 and drove them to the local dollar store to get some needed things. Again very gracious. They said they were going to walk around town to try and make some money to pay for the site since they had to be there for days. I knew we had a lot of work to do at our house so I brought him over Saturday and put him to work. He was a very hard worker, never took a brake and when we took lunch and I fed him and gave leftovers to take back to his family he was over whelmed. I felt I was doing the right thing when he went straight to the office to pay with the money I gave him for the work. Did the same thing Sunday. I know people were very skeptical but I just had a feeling about them. When She got her check on July 31st they came up first thing in the morning and paid for the site, went and bought a car in town, returned my cooler and were on their way. Thanked me many times. I just kept thinking if I ever was in that situation I sure would hope someone would help me too! WHAT WOULD YOU DO...HELP OR JUDGE AND TURN YOUR BACK??
