He lives in Margaret river in Western Australia, and sites his family, forest ocean surroundings and European and indigenous heritage, as his main influences. Music has the power to inspire, entertain and communicate. These are all aspects that Qynn holds dear to his heart. “I have played professionally since I was 9 years old. Music has been the one constant in my life all that time. I want people that come to my gigs to be glad they have shared that time with me, to feel happy, entertained and hopefully inspired.” SUNDAY 7TH JULY – ANDREW WINTON Award winning West Australian singer-songwriter Andrew Winton specialises in lap slide guitar and is known for his on-stage warmth, infectious live shows, humour, stellar musicianship and quirky & poetic lyric writing. He is also recognised for his diverse musical styles with influences ranging from blues & roots, folk, jazz, gospel, funk, and country/bluegrass! He is a genius on his array of weird & wonderful lap style guitars, also plays beautiful/lyrical acoustic guitar, and infuses it all with a range of intricate & percussive rhythms thanks to his background as a drummer! HIs voice has been compared to Sting & Ben Harper, a blend of sweet and strong perfectly suited to the wide range of styles he writes & performs in. Welcome to the world of Andrew Winton.
