WHEN WILL ELIGIBILITY COMES TO PLAY IN NIGERIA POLITICS Its crystal clear that political offices in Nigeria are not occupy base on merit or those that eligible for the position. the larger percentage of those who occupied the political offices are either elected or selected based on sentiment, ethnicity, religion, region or what they call godfatherism and ground work This nature of politics in Nigeria has become a cankerworm that has eaten deeply into the heart of an average Nigeria. These have contributed greatly to the problems we are currently facing in the country, ranging from; corruption, maladministration, terrorism, injustice and unfairness. How do we expect our leaders to be corruption free when the person thats is fighting corruption occupy the so-call position through corruption or the selection we called election. Most of our leaders so much believed on the popular sayin of Chuba Okadigbo the end justify the means by trying to use any means even violence to achieve their ambition, making politics a do or die affair. How do we expect them to act according to the constitution when they are not constitutionally elected, when sell out our mandate mandate through money, distribution of bags of rice and the likes. What do we expect from them, when even a local government chairman is selected instead of been elected and later said can any of you attest you voted for me? when the workers are complaining of no payment. They will loot our economy and work freely in the society where a common man will be sentenced to life in prisonment because he stole 1,000naira. If we are still experiencing this injustice and inhumanity from our so-call representatives in this 21century when is the change going to come? I will end with the saying of late M.K. Abiola man inhumanity to man will be redress if not by man, it will be by God for triumph of evil over good is temporal There should be a paradigm shift in 2015 election, let-go of politics of sentiment, ethnic politics or regional politics. Vote for credibility, vote for eligibility, vote for competent, vote for equity, vote wisely..
