WHEN YOU WERE A KID DID YOU EVER: Drink water from a creek, wade in the pond just to squish the mud between your toes, ride in the back of a pickup, have a watermellon fight, fish with a cane pole and cork, burn leaves with a magnigying glass, trotline fish, float on an inner tube, have a corn cob war, sit in a lawn chair outside at night with nothing on (I mean like the radio or TV) see who could spit a watermellon seed the fartherest, dig for redworms or night crawlers, go to a drive-in picture show, have a multi-party telephone, girls wear bobbie socks and boys butch wax, put peanuts in your root beer, suffer through riding the school bus with all the windows down on a hot day or all the windows up on a cold day, hand out political cards at a voting precent, eat a mayonase sandwich, haul hay, sit and count the cars as that went by (slow days) mow grass or iron clothes for money, get baptised in the creek, have your mama draw the outline of you feet on a piece of paper for shoes, put those awful patches on you blue jeans orroll your blue jeans up about 4 inches and...did you ever get called to the Principals office? These are just some of the things that some of us remember...you may remember others!
