WHEN YOUR BIGGER LIFE CALLS YOU? PICK UP THE PHONE: Youve got to find that sweet spot between having heroes and being your own hero. Youve got to be able to find inspiration both within you and all around you. To have both mentors and protégés. To talk to people whove traveled the terrain you are trying to traverse or whove been down the roads youre embarking upon. The mapmakers and rulebreakers. To hear about their highpoints and pitfalls. To then, lovingly and gratefully take all of that wisdom and sift gently and bravely through it and blaze your own trails, too. Today? I met a brilliant, beautiful, wildly successful female author whose work I greatly admire. She was warm, gracious, funny, lively, generous and present. And Im still: me. And Ill still find my own way with it all. But giddy? Thrilled? Awed? Yes. All of that. Because to meet someone whose words have deeply touched your soul? Well that is a gift beyond compare, a treasure most precious. So I hope to meet you all someday. To take your hands and look into your eyes and to hug you. To exchange energy and heartjuice in the flesh. For now?
