WHENEVER I SEE SUCH PHOTOS - hands interlocking and reaching each other, they give me a sneer. How do you expect the participants in such conferences should pose for a graduation photo? And then, half of the issues taken up or agreed on during the conference are tucked in the filing cabinet to be resurrected when the next summit is scheduled. Like promises of investments.......do they really materialize at all? What is the batting average? Of course, the chief executive must deliver a speech about what transpired in that summit such as the promise of investments like those Mr Aquino reported coming home from the Davos summit held recently. In glowing terms, he said that investors will be queueing up to the nearest application desk. . . . . . but records reveal that the number of investors queueing are not impressive. So where did they go? Not to the PH.
