WHERE ARE WE GOING ? The law of socio-political power is such that rural (generally religious) reactionaries, cannot dictate to urban (generally secular) progressives. This is the 21 (TWENTY FİRST) Century. Everything has to happen by consensual agreement. If they try to impose, as in modern Turkey today, then the current level of socio-political unrest will escalate. In that case either, as rumors would have it, the government will provoke a greater crisis, such as an external war (with Syria) in order to distract popular anger. Or, my guess is, serious domestic political conflict will erupt.. Because NO nation willingly bows to regression. And especially not citizens of this country who are proud of Atatürks legacy ...
