WHERE ARE YOU? Feb. 26th, 2006 at Power Team House of Prayer International Ge 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened: and when they perceived themselves to be naked, they sewed together fig leaves, and made themselves aprons. Ramswell Not only were their eyes opened “LITERALLY,” but their “SPIRITUAL EYES” were opened as well and they recognized that they had sin! It was a terrible new feeling for them and they were scared so they made fig leaves to cover up their nakedness which they had never noticed before (you see-they actually were naked the entire time, but never noticed it, or recognized it as sin until after they ate of the tree). Ge 3:8 And when they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in paradise at the afternoon air, Adam and his wife hid themselves from the face of the Lord God, amidst the trees of paradise. Ramswell They knew that were naked (THAT THEY HAD SINNED ) and that The Lord was looking for them to ask them why they were hiding themselves (even though he already knew). He wanted them to account for their actions so that the penalty would be less severe. Ge 3:9 And the Lord God called Adam, and said to him: Where art thou? Ramswell You see, God wasn’t interested in “WHERE HE WAS HIDING AT,” he was interested in his “SPIRITUAL CONDITION! When he said, Adam, “Where are you?” HE was REALLY SAYING, “Adam, what happened to our relationship? You used to be so close and we were happy. Why did you destroy that relationship?” Ge 3:10 And he said: I heard thy voice in paradise; and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself. Ramswell Adam replied to The Lord and admitted his fear. Obviously he would have not had fear had it not been for him doing something wrong in the first place! Ge 3:11 And he said to him: And who hath told thee that thou wast naked, but that thou hast eaten of the tree whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldst not eat? Ramswell The only way that you could have found that you were naked is by eating of the forbidden tree. Why have you done such a thing after I strictly asked you not to? (God desires us to have all the good things in life – LUKE 1:13) Jos 7:19 And Josue said to Achan: My son, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and confess, and tell me what thou hast done, hide it not. Ramswell You give God glory and praise when you confess your sins before him. Isa 29:15 Woe to you that are deep of heart, to hide your counsel from the Lord: and their works are in the dark, and they say: Who seeth us, and who knoweth us? Ramswell Beware those of us that hide evil secrets deep in our hearts being ignorant enough to believe that no one see’s it! GOD DOES! Isa 29:16 This thought of yours is perverse: as if the clay should think against the potter, and the work should say to the maker thereof: Thou madest me not: or the thing framed should say to him that fashioned it: Thou understandest not. Ramswell Who are we to tell God what he “SHOULD HAVE DONE” regarding us? Our thughts are not like his thoughts and his thoughts of us are thoughts of good, not of evil (JER. 29:11). Jer 23:23 Am I, think ye, a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Ramswell I am easy to find. Seek me and you shall find me (Prov 8:17). I am not hiding myself the way Adam hid himself. Jer 23:24 Shall a man be hid in secret places, and I not see him, saith the Lord? do not I fill heaven and earth, saith the Lord? Ramswell Where can a man hide himself where I cannot find him as I am the alknowing, all powerful, and all seeing God of The Heavens and Earth. So don’t spiritually hide yourself from The Lord as it will prevent you from receiving The Lord’s blessings in your life! RAMSWELL
