WHO IS YOUR PASTOR? Two sets of preachers exist today, in the episcopium: the Orators, and the Oracles. The Orator is that preacher or Guest speakers with big portfolios and line of protocols, that speaks nothing, but the minds of the people, feeding them with what they want to hear, and not the mind of God. They are men of corrupt minds, who are modern, and claims to be Apostles, (Arch) Bishops, Evangelists, Prophets, etc, but are indifferent to extrabiblical doctrines, unapostolic and ignorant of the clear admonitions of the apostolic doctrines of the New testament. They preach the baptism of money and worldliness, and not the baptism of Christ. I see them as Episcopal entertainers who end up speaking lies in deception, deceiving the itching ears with vain geneaological, astrological, and superstitious fables and prognostications that has no root in the very Word of life. From such, withdraw thyself! The Oracle on the other hand, is that one, called of God, and mandated in the prophetic, to decree the mind of God. They are the holy prophets of God, who may not be popular, yet they command integrity. They may not be eloquent, yet they carry the Word and Power. They may not have a form, or what is today known as structure, yet they carry solutions. Their comeliness may not match the trend of this age, yet they are God filled and fragranced. The Oracles are men of substance in the Kingdom who are really set in battle array, in the end time army of God, to release the agenda of heaven to this generation. They are the ordained shepherds of God, men God called the pastors according to my heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. (see Jeremiah 3:15). WHO SHOULD BE YOUR PASTOR? According to 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9, • He must be a man of character, and of good report. Character supercedes gifting in Gods value system. Proven character is more important than personality, Preaching gifts, administrative abilities, and accademic qualifications. Do not so much place your value on reputation than you should, on character. This is because, reputation is somehow a valid proof of the character, like a shadow that can change per time, while character is the real picture per time. Therefore, your Pastor must be a man of proven behavior that has persevered in godly wisdom, right choices, and personal holiness. • He must be ...an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12 KJV). That is to say that, his Christian and steadfast faith must be evident to the congregation as preeminently of worthy imitation. He must be a man that people should learn Christian ethics and true godliness in his manner of perseverance in godliness, faithfulness, purity in the face of temptation, and loyalty to and love for Christ and the Gospel. • He must be a model in faithfulness to his one wife and children. The Holy Ghost regards the pastors, and leaders faithfulness, servanthood, and humility in the home, marriage, and family relationship as highest importance ( 1 Timothy 3:2,4-5; Titus 1:6). Are you sitting under a Pastor, that doesnt meet these above stated requirements, and the many more found in the Scriptures that isnt mentioned here? Then be it known unto you that you are in the wrong place! I therefore advice you to shift from such minister, and: • Locate and follow your Pastor. For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers... 1 Corinthians 4:15 KJV. • Be diligent to heed to heed to every scriptural doctrines, reproof, corrections, and instructions in righteousness. ( 2 Timothy 3:16), with all readiness of mind. • Search the Scriptures daily, whether the things instructed are in line with the will and good pleasure of the Lord. • Place a higher regard on and to your prophet and believe every tested word you received from him ( 2 Chronicles 20:20 ). • Dont be carried away and easily deceived by human doctrines and showmanship! Be adequate enough to understand biblical truths, so as to be able to differenciate between the cunning craftiness of men and the mind of God. Test all spirits! • Be spiritual. It takes a mind dominated and controlled by the Holy Ghost to understand spiritual things ( see. 1 Corinthians 2:10-15 ). To receive direction is power, but to heed to instructions is life-Dr. Steves Samuel. As youll abide by this divine word, I see you above and far beyond where you are destined in this life and beyond! God bless you!!!
