WHY MARRIAGES FAIL: At Benny Hotel, Festac Lagos I spoke to singles and couples yesterday on RELATIONSHIP in UNCOMMON WISDOM SEMINAR, it was really challenging and life changing. We explored on the factors responsible for failure in marriage. Lets just look at one of them: MARRYING OUTSIDE THE WILL OF GOD! It simply means to set out in search of a life partner without acknowledging or involving God. It also means deciding on who to marry and what to do with your marriage without God in the picture and with no consideration for His plan for your life. People marry outside the will because, 1. THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR GOD; 2. THEY DONT KNOW THE BENEFITS OF MARRYING IN THE WILL OF GOD; 3. THEYVE BEEN MADE TO BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL GIVE THEM THE WORST OF MEN/WOMEN; 4.THEYVE BEEN MADE TO BELIEVE IT BRINGS UNTOLD HARDSHIP. Why should one acknowledge and involve God when he/she is contemplating marriage? The reason is simple: every man/woman is like a PACKAGE and God is the PACKAGER, He knows what is in that package and what will be suitable for it. It is important to note that God knows the end from the beginning, so when you are doing without Him you are actually hurting yourself without knowing. Eve was not there when Adam was created (she didnt know whats in the package), Adam, on his part was asleep was Eve was formed (he wholeheartedly accepted Eve being fully persuaded that whats in the package will be suitable for him). Dont ever think that God will give you a bundle of misery if you involve Him. Remember: Every good and perfect gift comes from God, and His plan is to give you PEACE, PROSPERITY AND A GLORIOUS POSTERITY! My book on marriage will soon be out!
