WHY MUSLIMS ARE HUMILIATED TODAY ? God is with those who believe. - Quran 8:19 I.e. It must be undrestood as a reminder to the Muslims that God will be with them only so long as they remain firm in faith and righteous in action, and that, however large their community may be in the future, they will be powerless unless they are true believers : Of the [Muslim] people there are some who say, We believe in God and the Last Day, in fact they do not believe at all. They seek to deceive God and the [true] believers... ... For them there is a great punishment... (Quran 2:8). [If he works inequity] We reduce him to the lowest of the low (Quran 95:5). Righteous living is the necessary corollary of believing. Islam is not mere formalities. Those who believe and do righteous works are the best of creatures (Quran 98:7). The Quran links righteous works with faith for building character and furnishes an universal code of moral and social behaviour to promote justice and peace in the world at large. The eminence of the Muslims depends on their actual conduct and social behavior, and not on their lip-profession of faith and observance of rituals.
