WHY THE DEVIL BELIEVES AND TREMBLES BEFORE ONE GOD One of the distorted notions about the Apostolic One God doctrine perpetrated by detractors is that is a devilish belief, quoting James 2;19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well; the devils also believe and tremble... But this does not prove the allegation. in fact, the verse only establishes the Apostolic doctrine. It says.......thou doest well (to believe one God). It means the verse acknowledges that the bellief is correct. The next phrase says , ......the devils also believe, and tremble ( before one God). This means that the devils also have acknowledge about the true God, but the problem is their belief in God does not go with it obedience to His commandments but only utter disregard for them and continuous rebellion against Him. Tha is why these demons tremble for fear of an impending everlasting torment for which they are destined (Matt.8:29 , Rev.12;12). Why would the devil tremble before the triune god of the Trinity Doctrin? It is his invention , anyway , to confuse the hearts of men and prevent them from believing the one true God, J E SUS .
