WI Youth Snowmobile Education Reform Mission: Improve the effectiveness of the WI youth snowmobile education reducing injury Immediate Changes: Snowmobile Safety certificate holders ages 12-15 must ride ONLY with a parent Mid-Term Changes: Work with a task force made up of DNR, AWSC, Educational Professionals and Snowmobile Industry to reconstitute the youth snowmobile education Long Term Changes: • Overall Curriculum • Use the latest instructional design technology • Incorporate a hands on experience • New class of snowmobile: Max 440 cc, smaller frame, stance, incorporation of technology to limit max speed, standardized parts to reduce development costs which will reduce retail price • Create a model for reform to be used by other states other powersports youth training program Communication Plan: Inform Madison, AWSC, DNR and Snow Mobile Industry of the community need for this mission. Through social media, letters, articles and face to face discussions build support.
