WILL NKANAS 20 YEAR BAD RUN IN LUSAKA END? This weekend Nkana play Red Arrows at Lusakas Nkoloma Stadium looking to end a Bad run in Lusaka that has plagued the Club since its 1990 AFRICAN CHAMPIONS CUP Final Penalty loss to Algerian Club JSK Kabylie at Lusakas Independence Stadium. Nkana had wanted to play the final at home on the Copperbelt but where convinced to change venue by the Government who wanted Nkana to play in a bigger Stadium because of the National Interest the match had. Nkana lost the match on penalties with Zambian International Mordon Malitoli missing the decisive kick. Since then Nkana have fared quite badly in Zambias Capital City. Nkana have played 47 games in Lusaka since its 11th title in 2002. Nkana have won only 10 of these matches drawing 17 and losing 20. Over the last 10 years Nkana have only managed to score more than a goal in Lusaka on 2 occasions out of 27 matches and have conceded 2 goals or more on 8 occasions. Nkana have managed to keep a Lusaka Side from scoring only twice in its last 10 matches. These facts do not settle down well especially against a Red Arrows side whom Nkana have failed to prevent from scoring at home since 2004. Red Arrows will be out to avenge a 4-1 loss to Nkana which they suffered at Nkana Stadium on the last day of the ZSL in a game which handed Nkana the league. With Lusaka having an average of 5 Clubs in the league every season a tour in the Capital City is an important part of Nkanas season and points lost in Lusaka have been shown to decide a season in the past. Will Nkana shake of the badluck? Its Red Arrows vs Nkana in the Heart of Lusaka @ Nkoloma Stadium. CAT 15:00 Live on Supersport 9 on Sunday.
