WINNERS AND LOSERS Is it true that God created all of us in such a way that, some are losers and some are winners? If not, was the world going to be fair if all of us belonged to one category? Eish, this is a serious topic!!! Let me start by sharing with you our common Shona proverb; Chaitemura chave kuseva - meaning, what used to struggle for food, is NOW rich. Let me share a word of God from the bible; JEREMIAH 29 VS 11 For I know the plans I have for you, plans to make you prosper, and give you peace and hope. From the proverb, it is clear that God did not segment us into losers and winners. Rather, my research shows that we are all winners, but we have to go through a period of dryness (a wilderness) for us to enjoy the aftermath. This period of dryness, we can call a season of losing in laiman terms. Some people start with a happy life, things going well for them. But, just like the Egyptians, a season of dryness completes their lives. For some, the wilderness is the starting point, filled with pain and long suffering, then riches penalt their lives. Look at your life as an apple. An apple has two sides. Imagine that one side is filled with winning, joy, success and positives and the other side is filled with losing, sadness, pain, failures, hardwork and negatives. When you when born, you started eating that apple away. Which side where you eating? Which side are you eating now? Which side is left? So basically, we are all winners and we are all losers. But both winning or losing are seasons we have to experience in our lives, but it is us who choose when to win, and when to lose.
