WINNING EACH DAY DEVOTIONAL 2 Cor 2:14 And thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph… December 8, 2014 DELIBERATE STEPS Isaiah 58:8 (MSG) Do this and your lights will turn on, and your lives will turn around at once. Your righteousness will pave your way. The GOD of glory will secure your passage. Interestingly, this scripture starts with a command, “Do this” and then goes on to state what happens afterwards, “...and your lights will turn on, and your lives will turn around at once. WHAT TO DO: Sometimes people stumble into a local assembly (a church) unconsciously holding unto their limited way of thinking. It’s not about how long you’ve been in church- you need to apply yourself to the Word. Significant change comes from doing things God’s own way. Isn’t it amazing to know that you provoke God’s blessings when you resolve to give your heart, self and resources to God for His kingdom advancement on earth? It may not appeal to your natural senses to give. What makes the difference is when you obey and honour God. (PSA. 126:5) Do you want a mega shift in your finance? Do you desire to be a blessing to people around you? Do you want to live up to God’s expectation for your life? God ushers in your turn around at the place of sacrifice. (PSA. 50:5, GEN 22:16) What kingdom investment is God asking you to make today? Dig in on your heels, step out in faith and act in obedience. Remember, whatever God asks you to do always pay off. CONFESSION: I’m a channel of blessing! My church, society and country are blessed because of me! PRAYER: Hallowed Father, let Your will be done on earth. Let Your kingdom spread to the ends of the earth. Help me be the solution to needs around me. (Psa 72:3-8) FURTHER READING: Isaiah 58.
