Many believers are disillusioned and have learnt not to expect the best for fear of being disappointed. They pass up on opportunities God has in store for them because of their suspicious nature. The solution to this would be for them to renew their minds and to know that what they have gone through in the past does not determine what they deserve; what they deserve is determined by what Jesus has done on the cross. Renewing of the mind is a vital key to experiencing God’s favour. It makes us realize that God never leaves any of his children without help. You might be looking to raise a certain amount of money, hoping to secure a job, admission into your dream school, or looking to get someone to endorse a project. When your mind is renewed by Gods word, you realize that God has ability to turn the hearts of men in your favour. Proverbs 21:1 declares that the The kings heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes. The enemys strategy is to corrupt the picture of your identity in Christ Jesus and undermine your effectiveness as a child of God that you really are.
