(WIP, SAVED FOR LATER) Delicate footsteps echoed through the empty house as a small teen found themselves inside an empty foyer. Their eyes slowly glanced up to the chandelier on the ceiling, watching it swing slowly from the draft that blew itself into the abandoned room. The chandelier twinkled and produced a small clinking sound as the chains on it knocked together. The lights on it flickered ever so slightly, not causing a disturbance to the teen’s eyes nor changing the disturbing atmosphere. The teen was not too sure why there were there or how they got there. With a shrug they continued to wandered, a cold breeze hitting their skin and blowing into their hair. Besides them was a small goat that bleated occasionally, nudging them away from certain rooms or areas. They werent too sure why the goat did that, however, they listened to the goat’s guidance and worry- not entering those rooms for now. The goat huffed and bounced off its front hooves before lightly head-butting the teen’s thigh, obviously disgruntled by the teen’s persistence in entering a poorly lit room. Its bleats became louder and more aggressive, attempting to push the girl away from the doorway. The small hooved animal now bit onto the other’s long sweater and began to pull them back with a frown on its furred face- the pull making the teen fall onto their bottom in front of the goat. “Hey! What are you doing? I want to see what’s in there! Stop trying to stop me, jeez! I don’t know what’s gotten into you lately. Whatever they told you to do; I want you to do the opposite, okay? I know how to take care of myself! I don’t need help!” The short teen huffed, scrunching up their nose as they felt the goat’s nose nudge into their cheek tenderly and caringly. They waved their hand in order to shoo the animal away from them, not wanting to be kept down for long. “I’ll just be in there for a few minutes, okay? I will be fine, I promise.” Slowly and cautiously walking into the dark room, their steps were no longer light thuds; instead they were like abrupt splats against a wet, hard ground. The change in atmosphere and surroundings was abrupt and very unnerving. They felt the need to go back to the safety of the goat, but they couldnt now- after all that talk about being able to take care of themselves they couldnt back down. Continuing on, they felt a hard object snap and crunch under their shoe, the feelings was something they couldnt ignore. Glancing down to her shoe, the small teen lifted their foot and looked under; it was glass. The teen’s brows furrowed at the sight but continued walking into the center of the room, stepping on more glass but this time ignoring it.
