🐾🐾WOFFY THANKS HIS FANS🐾🐾 WORLD Champion Tai Woffinden has thanked his massive army of fans for staying behind him during his tough run. The Wolverhampton star made a swift return to his Derby base after managing only five-points in the Meridian Lifts FIM European Speedway Grand Prix inPoland on Saturday. He lines up for the Parrys International Wolves tonight against Lakeside in Elite League action knowing he has issues. “We know what the issues are and I’m dealing with them already,” said Woffinden. “Hopefully it will be sorted in time for the next round of the Grand Prix series in Finland on May 17, but in the meantime I have to focus on doing well for my clubs. I want to thank everyone who is supporting me during this tough time. “Normally it’s every other week but this time it’s three weeks between Poland and Finland. “Hopefully that’s enough time for me to get things ironed out and I can start making the starts and winning races once again. I was never going to be showing world championship form from the start of the season, but I know I should be doing a lot better. “I’m looking forward now and I just want to get the confidence back and start pushing the guys who are at the top right now. “And, as always, I’d like to thank my fans who have stayed right behind me and are urging me to get back to my best, it means a lot.” Tai heads to Sweden on Tuesday before riding at Rye House in the British Semi-Final on Wednesday. He then travels to Poland for practice on Thursday before attending his Grandmother’s funeral on Friday.
