WOOOOOOW!!! (in extra-bold font and RED) Just saw a TV spot where arch-rivals Coke & Pepsi have joined forces (gasp!) in a marketing effort that Ill call Mixify thats main message is soft-drinks arent all bad...just mix in a few veggies. That unthinkable temporary partnership for this message pretty much confirms other things Ive heard recently - that Joe Consumer is considerably more health conscious and as a result the soft-drink is HURTING. The old school of thought all things in moderation is usually a solid approach to life...but this just struck me as an act of desperation. Yeah, Ive been in this industry too long. The strategy that shaped this effort wont be as glaring to most.... But, gosh!!!!! Interesting, to say the least.
