WORD BREAKFAST FOR JIM WEAVER: Like they say, great minds think alike, guess that means I win. Glad you mentioned the words, the sweet, precious words. Jim, I know you may think this next statement is a bit disingenuous [ the opposite of ingenuous] on my part, but words to me are almost sacred. And although I may not always use them well, I only use them out of love for the words themselves, never to be pretentious. Although I am very vain, I have no ego and hate pretension. My history with words hasnt been a straight forward path. In elementary school, I had a slight speech problem, chs, shs, and sk. To this day, I am slightly self conscious, especially when conversing with erudite persons such as your self. I have discovered that by wallowing in the primordial cauldron of word slime my thoughts are invigorated and subtle gems of wisdom reveal their sparkling splendor. In my mind, the most beautiful words ever uttered are like to lark, at break of day arising from Shakespeare. I cant get past the words Id like to get away from earth for a while from the Robert Frost poem Birches without choking up, Im a sap, I know. E.E. Cummings dawn of a doom of a dream fill me with jealously for not having said them first. With Poe its a toss up between tintinnabulation that so musically wells from the bells, bells ,bells ,bells ,bells, bells, bells and quote the raven, nevermore. Words are the heartbeat of sentient life, even God became the Word in flesh and dwelt among us. So though I am a poor servant to words, I am at their mercy. .
