WORDS OF WISDOM from your Expo Director Team Julie Hisle - When I talk with someone about the opportunity I take notes. If the timing isnt right for them to join, I follow up later and can refer to what we have talked about on a previous occasion. Sharon Maurer - The fortune is in the follow up. Reach out to as many people as possible and dont give up after a week. Keep in touch once a week until the lead grows cold and then once a month. But dont quit until they say they are no longer interested. Brenda Smith - Have a system for processing leads. Creating an FAQS email was the most significant thing I did when I decided to recruit. Doing so allows you to have a ready made response when someone inquires, be it a friend, party guest, online contact, vendor contact etc. People tend to ask the same questions so having this ready provides an efficient way for them to find out right away if they are truly interested. It is a fantastic screening tool. Lisa Taylor - Dont project on to others what you think their Clever experience will be. It is up to each new consultant to walk their path and find their success. Angie Goethert - Your responsibility is to offer. It is up to them to decide if they want to give it a try. Erin Thornton - Determine at the beginning of each month why that particular month is the best to sign up as a consultant. They you can use that to create a sense of urgency with your potential recruits. Judy Stahl - Dont be afraid of the word no.... you have to go through a lot of Nos to get to the Yess. They are not rejecting you; they are simply saying they do not want to be a consultant. We need Hosts and Customers too!
