WORKSHOP NEWS: THE OPEN THE CIRCLE SESSION FOR SEASONED PERFORMERS HAS BEEN MOVED TO JULY 26th 2014... Dearest Open the Circle Session Enthusiasts, Thank you for your interest in the Exploring Slam in a Safe Space. This letter is to let you know that after the success of Junes Slamalamadingdong and an epic house move, I have come down with a pretty intense winter flu! My teaching practice is really important to me and I want to be able to give my 110% to these workshops and you the participants. Therefore, the workshop date for seasoned performers has now been moved to July 26th 2014. I am hoping this gives the beginners more time to work on their pieces and it will allow us to accommodate more registrations so that we have a nice fleshy group to be a part of! We had ourselves an awe inspiring day on June 15th with the beginners group and there is a palpable excitement in the air as the beginners work on the pieces they have started with the aim of sharing all together with the seasoned performers at the live showcase. I cant wait to continue to create the space in which we can all grow and develop our work and really look forward to July 26th. If there is anything Ive learned its that the body has things to say when its asking one to slow down. Some of my most powerful work was created from places of deep rest and recovery from physical illness. I look forward to sharing with you in the workshops what Ive discovered deep in the chasm full of tissue boxes and honey, lemon, ginger teas.
