WORKSHOP ON MENTAL HEALTH: Awareness. Anti-Stigma. Response. December 11 queensu.ca/studentaffairs/health-and-wellness/mental-health-education A new three-hour program aims to increase participants’ understanding of mental health, mental illness and the experience of stigma, to recognize signs of a mental health problem, to increase comfort in interacting with someone who may have a mental health problem, and provide the skills and knowledge to support a person who may have a mental health problem. The program combines a range of teaching approaches, including video, interactive case studies and lecturing. Participants will receive a removable sticker that can be placed on their door, nameplate or workstation to identify that they have received this training.
