WORLD CITIZENS? Assuming: If all people on this planet are world citizens, then we must accept this all other things being equal. Its beautiful and lovely to call each other (black, yellow,white etc) as brothers and sisters. For its so beautiful for us to see each other equal and we respect each and everyone irrespective of the color(black, white, yellow, etc). who will still complain if we equally share all the earthly resources together without considering color of a person? who will still complain when there is free entry and exit on the 6 continents of the Earth? who will still complain if we have one government for the whole Earth? Who will still complain when there is one military, one police, one intelligence, one Education system etc on Earth? Think about this brothers and sisters? Reality: We live on a planet where some people promote their national pride and continent pride but yet they tell others to abandon their national pride and continental pride and to be world citizens. Does this make sense? when other people promote their national pride and continent pride, they are branded as racists and creating a division. The point is, you cannot call for world citizen while you still promote your national pride, your culture and continent pride and you say others should not promote their national pride and continent pride all other things being equal. To you, you prefer to let your culture, your regional block, your language, your country dream etc to dominate the rest of the world and shut down the dreams and aspirations of others. No one will take you serious on your agenda all other things being equal. I believe there can be unity in diversity. This is when we allow various cultures to exist and we promote our culture. Again we must allow people to promote their national pride and continent unity. I do understand that patriotism can make someone an an enemy to other country but to some extent, a person patriotism should not neglect the fact that there can be unity in diversity all other things being equal. A patriotic person should not neglect the fact that we have other patriotic peoples like him/her in the rest of the countries. Hence respect and tolerance to others sovereignty is important. We must respect some people autonomy as a country and as a continent. If I promote my national pride and continent pride and you call me a racist and creating division, so be it. So far as I do not discriminate or show racism to others but my focus is centered on my national pride and continent unity you have no case to accuse me. You can go and tell Americans, Russians and Chinese to stop promoting their national pride and what united them as a country. I wonder why Africans are labeled Racist if they wanted to be United like Americans, Russians and Chinese? why are people so quick to criticize us of our unity? World citizen can exist among countries and cultures all over the world. One does not have to abandon his culture, national identity or their continent union and declare he/she is a world citizen. We have see some people in some countries who hold their national pride and continent union but they still see themselves as world citizens to the rest of the world. for example, some European people see themselves as world citizens but recognize the sovereignty of their country and their European Union. Hence, we as Africans must hold our national pride and continent pride whiles we see ourselves as world citizens. It will be a gravy mistake to abandon your culture, your national pride and continent pride and declare yourselves a world citizen all other things being equal. I am an Asante, from Ghana and a proud African. But I see myself as a world citizen meaning I respect and tolerate all people across cultures. DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY SOME PEOPLE WHO TELL YOU TO ABANDON YOUR NATIONAL PRIDE AND CONTINENT PRIDE AND GO FOR ONLY WORLD CITIZEN. THAT PERSON IS A PROUD NATIONALIST IN HIS/HER COUNTRY BEFORE HIS WORLD CITIZEN AGENDA. WE CANNOT BE DECEIVED AGAIN!!! I SEE THIS AS A DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO MAKE SOME AFRICANS TO PUT LESS EMPHASIS ON THEIR UNITY AND NATIONAL PRIDE.
