WORLD MISSION SUNDAY A prayer from a South African Christian Strengthen the leaders of this and every local congregation. Impart clarity and effectiveness to the preaching of your Word. Let the gospel be heard so completely and compelling in our midst that we shall fall in love with it all over again and become followers of Christ who sing in the way and shower gifts of healing and unity upon all who live in the shadow of our passing. Save us from small passions and futile expenditure of energy, and direct us into channels of power and effectiveness. And regenerate in us the sense of Christs call and commission that will lift our hearts and reclaim our imaginations, renewing this church and its mission to the world. AMEN
