WORLD PEACE Such a cliche thing to hope for. ...But remove all the preconceived ideas of this phrase from beauty pageant contestants and dwell into the core of its substance, i really do pray for its reality. Not only for the big scale of war stricken areas of our world but also peace within us as individuals. Often we are conflicted with discontentment, insecurities, jealously and anger - these things lead us to hurt each other in one way or another. Without inner peace, we reveal to each other actions that inflict pain intentionally or not. Since I started this status with a cliche, why not throw in another one. One heard repeatedly but often overlooked - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. I pray that we choose the latter - Love so that there is peace.
