WORSHIP. A slow song being played, the lights deemed, the piano playing wonderfully, a leading melodious voice, people lifting up hands effortlessly, rapt in the moment, words of adoration flowing like a stream from the lips of many, tears running down cheeks, tongues blasting, voices singing and the moment just goes on. This is the height and whole extent of worship for alot of professing believers, they come out at the close of service, and they are like service today was wonderful, the presence of God really came down This might be true, and that worship in itself, is not wrong, I myself have greatly enjoyed much of those episodes and the blessings from it; But the truth is that Worship goes beyond that, it goes beyond what you do in church, Worship is your WHOLE LIFE, everything. Worship is how you live, what you say, where you go, what pictures, music and videos you have in your phones and PCs, what kind of relationship you keep, what you do in the exam hall, before an interview panel, what you write in your CV, how you relate with your neighbours and the lowly, worship is who you are when nobody is watching, worship is the secret passions of your heart, the choices you make, how you spend your time and the list goes on worship encompassing all these, its the entirety of your life, how you live it with respect to God, how you walk in reverence of God in all things even the littlest. Remember, the time is now when true worshippers worship God is Spirit and in Truth, the temple is no longer on a Samaritan mountain neither is it in Jerusalem, but it is now in us, our bodies now are the temples of the Living God, this why we can and must worship at all times. So my dear, if you care little or nothing for the later, you are just an actor in church, a dramatist during that worship period, all those emotions, all those tears and groans, if they dont propel you into deeper walk with God and a Holier walk with Him, you delude yourself and those acts are but empty theatrics, God sees them for nothing, it is not entertainment He wants, but a life of consecration, it is not specific times or moments He wants, but the entire life time with all its moments. Some people affected by the technology of lightings and sounds plus the skill of the worship leader, think they feel Gods presence, but its not so. Gods presence is not what you feel or have only when a worship song is being sang, Gods presence is the perpetual abiding of God with His people. Moses said, if thy Presence go not with me, carry me not from here, and God said My presence shall go with you and I shall give you rest Is God presence welcomed in everything you do, in every place you go? We know we worship God when we live in His light in obedience to His words. When our heart is set in voiding our lives of anything that displeasures God, then will the fruit of our lips be acceptable and the cries of our heart heard. Brethren, Let us not worship in words alone but by our lives and from that life of worship will true words of worship come.
